Matt Hardy – ‘It’s Not Past Tense That The Hardys Were Great, We Are Great!’

In a recent episode of his podcast called “Extreme Life,” Matt Hardy opened up about the recovery journey of his brother Jeff Hardy in TNA. This followed Jeff Hardy’s exit from AEW at the start of this year.

The Hardy boys seized the TNA Tag Team Championships title at the TNA Bound For Glory event, held recently in 2024.

In regards to Jeff Hardy’s successful bounce back at TNA after leaving AEW: “During our tenure at AEW, Jeff made it clear that he’d made some mistakes. Though we concluded our AEW journey feeling that there were some who didn’t fully believe in us, my objective for joining TNA was to seize another opportunity to reignite their faith. More importantly, it was to assure the fans that the Hardy boys remain as exceptional now as they were in the past – as we set out to achieve our goals.”

On Mauro Ranallo’s capabilities as a commentator: “He’s an exceptional talent. He brings something different to the table with his distinct style, and I admire how seriously he takes his work. His commentary feels like it’s from a bona fide sportscaster, and I appreciate that genuinely.”
