Wrestler LA Knight recently guested on the podcast, “The Morning Bounce,” discussing his inaugural appearance in WrestleMania 40 against AJ Styles earlier this year.
Here are some of the major takeaways from the podcast:
On his feelings about his first WrestleMania: “Though it might be expected that I would say, yes it was all my childhood dreams materializing, but honestly looking back, only a hint of that was true. At the moment, it felt like any other work day. I’m stepping in, ready to do my job, which means going face to face with another man in a 20 by 20 ring and engaging in some physical activities.”
On his duel with Styles: “Our battle was intense; we did go head to head. Me and AJ were definitely in the zone. It was not just a huge learning experience for me, but also for my friends and family. New fans were created that day. My mother, who was never much of a wrestling or WWE enthusiast, can’t stop thinking about WrestleMania since.”
On treating it as just another work night: “The evening was enjoyable, different celebrities showed up including Snoop Dogg. Many became fans that night. Personally speaking, although it was my first WrestleMania and the evening was wonderful, it was just another day at work for me.”
