Shelton Benjamin recently joined the “Gabby AF” podcast to discuss his potential entry into the WWE Hall of Fame, describing it as a fitting culmination to his extensive career.

Here are some of the key takeaways from his conversation:

Discussing his potential admission to the WWE Hall of Fame, Benjamin said, “It would be a fine conclusion to a lengthy career. But is it going to happen? Shawn Michaels hinted at reserving a spot for me. I hope my contributions to wrestling are substantial enough for me to be inducted. I would certainly cherish that. I could be said to be a WWE bred performer. They scouted and trained me. Thousands of fans first meet me there.
“And just because I’m now at AEW, doesn’t mean I bear a grudge against WWE. I certainly don’t. I am not a fan of hostile rivalry between theatrical companies. My professional wrestling career spans multiple companies – WWE, AEW, IMPACT, New Japan. If I’m unable to practice my skill in one place, I will move to another. As a versatile performer, I don’t have the luxury to indulge in company rivalry. So many of my friends are in diverse wrestling companies; it’s not rational to spite them.”

On the subject of who he would prefer to usher him into the Hall of Fame, the first name he mentioned was that of Kurt Angle. “My preliminary thought for the induction would definitely be Kurt. He was instrumental in introducing me to the global wrestling scene and his reputation helped my swift rise to fame and recognition.”

Other names he considers eligible candidates for the induction include MVP, Arn Anderson, and Gerald Brisco – all of whom have significantly contributed to his journey to stardom.
