Bret Hart has recently shared his thoughts that his father, Stu Hart, would have relished the opportunity to work with present-day wrestling stars such as Brock Lesnar and Steve Austin.
On the most recent episode of the podcast, “The Wrestling Classic”, Hart, also known as The Hitman, was posed with the question of which current wrestling figures his father would’ve liked to collaborate with. Here are some notable points from the podcast:
When discussing Brock Lesnar and Stu, Bret professed: “My dad would’ve loved to have had a few hours with him in the basement. And I believe Brock Lesnar would’ve been a big fan of my dad, as well. In the last one or two years that my dad was alive, I vividly remember him making a special journey to the Saddledome in Calgary specifically to meet Brock Lesnar.”
As for Steve Austin and Stu, Bret reminisced: “I presume my dad would’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with Steve Austin. It was always a delight when Steve Austin unexpectedly grabbed my dad at that Canadian Stampede pay-per-view event and startled him in the front row. My dad cherished those moments. He was always fond of being involved, being remembered, respected and treated the way Steve Austin did. Like he mattered.”
