In a recent conversation with Uproxx, AEW wrestler, Daniel Garcia elaborated on his ambitions within the organization. He highlighted his intention to solidify his position as a leading figure in the company by the following year.

Garcia also showed his enthusiasm for having top billing at pay-per-view events.

Some standout points from the interview are included below:

Regarding speculation about his contract: “Much of that stuff brought me amusement because I’m an extremely private individual. Over the past several months, there wasn’t any real information about me. Anything that was revealed was purely fictitious. I think that anything reported about my status was totally incorrect because nobody knew anything regarding me.”

About his decision to stay with AEW: “In my mind, I somehow always knew — I believed AEW was the fitting place for me. It’s a place where I fit in perfectly, where I’m content and where I have already gotten a wealth of opportunities. Right now, AEW is an organization that I sincerely believe in. You glance around the locker room, and you see people I am willing to fight alongside. We have a team that inspires me to enhance my skills, to excel as a wrestler and as a performer.”

Discussing AEW’s challenges: “Over the past few years, AEW has undoubtedly seen high and low points. The speculations that circulate about the locker room are often accurate. There have been occasions when there are issues, conflicts, and disagreements. However, over the past twelve months or so, I would say there’s been an uplifting period of positivity with everyone assisting each other. It’s a fantastic atmosphere to be a part of.”

His objectives for 2025: “I believe the primary thing for me in the ensuing year is that I sincerely want to take centre stage at pay-per-view events. I want to demonstrate that I can hold a principal position. I sense that’s what I’m prepared for. That’s something I believe I’ve been ready for. That was my rationale for remaining at AEW. I aim to establish that I can be someone the company can count on and that I can grasp a key role in this promotion.”
