Dominik Mysterio seems to be baffled by the antipathy he receives from the WWE Universe, especially considering the fact that he is simply expressing his opinions on the air. He has previously held the Tag Team Championship and is known to be a candid and vocal wrestler.
Since his act of betrayal against his father Rey Mysterio during the Clash At The Castle 2022, Mysterio has been identified as one of WWE’s most despised heels. In a further twist earlier this year, he turned against Rhea Ripley, a move that highlighted Mysterio’s transition to being a villainous persona, even though he was already viewed as a heel.
In a recent conversation on Foundation Radio, Dominik expressed his perplexity at the negative response he receives whenever he shows up on the screen. In his own words,
“They despise me for a strange reason, even when I merely try to give my point of view honestly. The experience is enjoyable nonetheless. I always feel a sense of calm whenever they start jeering at me, even though it tends to be a bit upsetting. It allows me a moment to regain my composure and share a word with Liv [Morgan] to cool off slightly. Nonetheless, I’m entirely at ease at the end of the day.”
In the latest RAW episode, Dominik hinted at his possible pursuit of the World Heavyweight Championship, an idea that Carlito found to be laughable. In an attempt to smooth things over, Carlito urged Adam Pearce to consider Dom’s case. Should Mysterio beat an ex-World Champion next week, he could secure a shot at the title.
