The recent edition of AEW Dynamite began with Hangman Page delivering an impactful promo in the ring, following his recent defeat at the hands of Jay White in WrestleDream 2024.

Page didn’t hold back during his promo, taking targeted shots at Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson, which led to Colten Gunn blindsiding Page with an attack.

White and Robinson were quick to join in the melee. Leaving the scene limping, Page’s exit was capped off with a biting promo from White, asserting his edge over Page and suggesting another fast-approaching clash hinted at with advice for Page to take care of his leg.

This sparked debate amongst avid fans regarding Page’s possible injury or whether it was part of his performance in the segment.

The speculation was put to rest when Wrestling Observer Radio confirmed in their most recent episode that Page was indeed unharided.

The host Bryan Alvarez observed, “During the brawl, Hangman started limping, and he actually wasn’t limping until the brawl.”

Co-host Dave Meltzer recollected, “When he came out, he was walking gingerly, but he was limping bad at the end.”

Further, Alvarez clarified, “He was selling. He got me and a lot of other folks as well with that act, but it was merely to sell the Seattle match. Evidently, he’s completely okay.”
