On a recent episode of the “Gabby AF” podcast, Shelton Benjamin had a conversation regarding the probability of Bobby Lashley, his former colleague from Hurt Business, changing sides to AEW.
Shelton Benjamin’s thoughts on the possibility of Bobby Lashley joining AEW were shared: “Should Bobby decide to join…It’s no secret that most individuals admired the Hurt Business; myself, MVP, Bobby, and Cedric. The notion of Bobby joining AEW is a significant move; it’s a victory for AEW. Besides me, you gain an incredible athlete with him.”
Reflecting on the value Lashley could add to AEW, Benjamin shared: “A two-time WWE World Champion like him joining AEW will only increase our audience base, providing an advantage. It remains uncertain when that could happen, as Bobby has his own strategies. Whether those will align with ours is a question that is yet to be answered. His joining AEW will only benefit all concerned parties. It promises to be a fun time.”
Benjamin is scheduled to perform this evening on AEW Dynamite, where he will face Sammy Guevara in a one-on-one match. The live show will air on TBS at 8:00 pm EST.
In another podcast appearance, this time on “The Mark Hoke Show,” Wheeler Yuta, the AEW Trios Tag Team Champion, shared his thoughts on the main objective of The Blackpool Combat Club.
Wheeler Yuta’s insights on the primary aim of the Blackpool Combat Club were shared: “I can’t go into complete detail about our strategy and end goal, as that might jeopardize our plans. But I can mention that the fundamental objective is to shape AEW into a place we can all be proud of. While there are many positives at AEW, there are also areas that could use some improvement, certain elements that we, as members of the Blackpool Combat Club, don’t necessarily agree with.”
He expressed his desire for AEW to reach its maximum potential: “We want to enhance the company’s efficiency, we want it to grow, and we don’t mind if our growth techniques seem a bit harsh. We are genuinely determined to make the company the best version of itself.”
Concerning the BCC’s goal for the roster: “Our goal is to bring up every member of the roster with us. The idea is to create a competitive environment where everyone can thrive. We want a situation where we won’t be the only ones taking the lead. We aim to raise AEW’s standards to a point where violent measures won’t be necessary anymore.”
