Professional wrestler Bobby Lashley recently voiced his belief that The Hurt Business, a prominent group in WWE, was unfairly disregarded during the pandemic-era without an audience, despite their significant contributions.
In the extraordinary year of 2020, Lashley, together with MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander, joined forces, creating some of the most memorable moments on WWE television during that challenging period.
During an interactive virtual session with K&S, Lashley relayed his experiences with The Hurt Business during the pandemic, and how WWE’s changing management led to their downfall. He commented,
“We got overlooked. That was a little bit of a spit in the face. I think we could have come back and done some big things together. They just didn’t want us. Different strokes for different folks. Different people like different things. When the regime changed, the regime wasn’t too high on me at all and were definitely not high on [MVP and Shelton Benjamin].”
In the early months of 2021, the team was disbanded. It was noted that the four wrestlers fervently petitioned to remain as a unit but were overruled.
More recent news suggests that there are plans for Lashley to reunite with Benjamin and MVP in The Hurt Syndicate in AEW, although this is yet to take place.
In the course of the interview, Lashley also discussed his future in the wrestling world and potential opportunities available for him.
