In 2024, WWE will hold the Crown Jewel on Saturday, November 2nd in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Notable absences will include two prominent stars, however.
One of the stars who had made it known he wouldn’t be attending is CM Punk. He revealed his break after his trilogy feud with Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood 2024, as we mentioned in a previous eWn report.
The final match of the series, which took place during the Hell In A Cell event on October 5th, saw Punk inflicting a bloody head injury on McIntyre utilizing a toolbox.
As a result of this injury, McIntyre was forced to take a break from WWE television programming and required 16 staples for his wound.
Information from Pwinsider suggests that neither Punk nor McIntyre will make appearances at WWE Crown Jewel 2024.
An unnamed source indicated that a mid to late November return may not be unrealistic for one or both wrestlers.
Notably, before McIntyre can climb back into the ring, he needs to obtain medical clearance following the stapling procedure he underwent after the Hell In A Cell showdown.
