WWE is reportedly engaged in talks about making a return to Australia in 2025. According to local news outlet, The West Australian, WWE is currently negotiating with the Cook government for a potential visit to Perth next year. However, the government has not made any firm statements regarding the ongoing talks.
Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti stated: “We’re consistently seeking these types of unique and exclusive events that draw visitors to our beautiful State, especially those that are notably popular like UFC and WWE.”
In the past, WWE held the 2024 edition of the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event in Perth in February. However, no particulars have been disclosed on whether the 2025 WWE event in Australia will be a regular taping or a pay-per-view event.
In other wrestling news, WWE’s biggest competitor, All Elite Wrestling (AEW), plans to host the Grand Slam event in Australia in February 2025. The AEW Grand Slam 2025 will take place at Suncorp Stadium, situated in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. This will be the company’s first-ever event in Australia.
