Double inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame, Booker T, has expressed his enthusiasm for the prospect of Zilla Fatu making his mark at WWE in the future, notwithstanding their former disagreements.
In an episode of his podcast named “Hall of Fame”, the conversation touched on Fatu – Umaga’s son – and his prospective career at WWE. Booker T shared some insights:
“Zilla is a protege of mine. He embarked on Reality of Wrestling just over a single year ago. Yes, we had our share of conflicts. He left, and then returned. One truth about this industry is, one must evolve. For a young individual, sometimes you need to face tough situations. You have to encounter the uneven stretches. I would love if it would all be seamless. Zilla had a dispute with GCW, the exact details of which I’m not certain. There are different versions of this story.”
“Mistakes? Yes, he’s made a few. We are all susceptible to making errors, but I’m absolutely determined to mentor him right to WWE and even beyond, simply because he’s kin. His father would be so proud. When he clinched the Reality of Wrestling Championship, his dad was surely watching over him. Reality of Wrestling is a sanctuary for Zilla Fatu. Because a certainty of this industry is, there’s an assortment of characters to encounter, and figuring out who to trust is crucial. At Reality of Wrestling, he feels like he’s home.”
Back in September 2023, Fatu severed his ties with Reality of Wrestling following what was reported as “unresolvable differences.”
In February 2024, the wrestling prodigy made his ROW comeback. Meanwhile, in December 2023, he made his inaugural appearance at GCW in a partnership with Jacob Fatu, another wrestling talent who has since been drafted into WWE.
