During a recent airing of his podcast known as “Off the Top”, WWE Hall of Famer, Rikishi, reviewed the events of WWE Bad Blood 2024. He also shared his thoughts on the unexpected heel turn by Kevin Owens on Cody Rhodes post-event.
Rikishi stated his preference for a different scenario altogether, where Cody Rhodes turned on Roman Reigns.
Take a look at some notable takeaways from the podcast below:
Rikishi’s wish to witness a change in loyalty by Cody Rhodes: “This is purely hypothetical, but my mind always seems to think differently. Instead of turning left, I veer towards the right. Given the circumstances, it certainly would have been interesting to see Cody switching allegiance from Roman. We have the spectacle of two grand babyfaces in the frame. Cody has been playing that role in Roman’s absence, and their reunion would’ve been noteworthy. I often catch these small highlight videos revolving around Roman’s entrance.”
Rikishi’s thoughts on Reigns’ persona: “There’s an aura around him. You can sense this sort of vibe he exudes. It’s as though this energy resonates from the television screen, showing how beloved this individual is. This is despite the fact that there was a time when people couldn’t stand his sight.”
In the WWE Bad Blood 2024 event, a tag team match saw Reigns and Cody triumph over The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
