WWE legend and Hall of Famer, Bill Goldberg, may stand to gain from spending some time training in WWE NXT before his anticipated showdown with GUNTHER, according to Teddy Long’s advice.
At the WWE Bad Blood event in 2024, GUNTHER confronted Goldberg in a way that led many to believe that a future rivalry and match might be imminent.
On a recent episode of the “Wrestling Time Machine” podcast, Long expressed his viewpoint that Goldberg could do some good with NXT training. He stated,
“If they want to do something with him and GUNTHER, then let him go to NXT. Let him stay down there two or three weeks, get the rust off of him, work with Shawn and some of those guys down there that know what they’re doing. You know what I mean? And get it right.”
Goldberg, a former WWE Universal Champion, last stepped into the ring at WWE Elimination Chamber 2022, in a match that saw him fall short against Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia.
Over the past few years, Goldberg has voiced his desire to have one last fight before putting a close to his wrestling career.
In the coming Crown Jewel pay-per-view happening next month, GUNTHER will face off against Cody Rhodes for the coveted Men’s WWE Crown Jewel Championship.
