WWE legend and member of the Hall of Fame, Rikishi, has shed light on his recent statements where he requested prayers for the wellbeing of his son, Jimmy Uso.
During a period when Jimmy was not seen on WWE shows, Rikishi tweeted about praying for his son’s wellbeing which triggered concerns among fans that something could be amiss.
Rikishi’s tweet read as follows: “Dear GOD 🙏🏾 for strength & health to continue #JimmyUso #wwe #Bloodline #Anoai #Fatu. Stay prayed for my boy #JonathanFatu,” posted on September 18, 2024.
However, on a recent episode of his podcast, “Off the Top”, Rikishi clarified that he did not mean to suggest his son was dealing with health struggles. He said,
“God forbid I even say anything on social media. You know, everybody thought that Jimmy was in the hospital, he was… All I said was just send a prayer to my son. That’s it as any father would give any son. You know, just pray for my son that’s it. I didn’t say nothing he was in the hospital, I didn’t say… I just pray for his health. That’s what I was saying. Oh, hell! I got so much slack for just a father trying to send some prayers for his boy.”
Jimmy resumed his WWE appearances at the Bad Blood 2024 event, where in collaboration with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, he managed to overcome The Bloodline.
Uso had been absent from action since April of the same year after he was assaulted by The Bloodline for conceding defeat to Jey Uso at WrestleMania 40.
