In a recent episode of “The Masked Man Show,” Will Ospreay, the AEW International Champion, opened up about his relationship with Tony Khan and shared his experiences working under him.
Ospreay’s key insights from the podcast are outlined below:
Speaking On Tony Khan: Ospreay mentions, “He’s very warm and friendly. We converse quite often. He guides me about the positives and negatives. I reckon I could be one of the exclusive wrestlers he’s had to refuse. Interestingly enough, I appreciate that.”
Regarding what Tony Khan denied him: Ospreay playfully retorted, “That’s an internal trade secret.”
On his fondness for Tony Khan: “I indeed have a deep admiration for him. I genuinely believe he has a golden heart. His contribution to the wrestling industry is indeed remarkable. I wouldn’t have stepped foot in American wrestling if it weren’t for him. Having been tethered to Japan, pursuing a career in American wrestling, compelling me to relocate here, appeared impracticable. Although I find it pleasant visiting here, my heart lies with the UK. I sorely desire to stay close to my family. This transformation wouldn’t have been feasible without AEW’s intervention. Being a part of AEW’s weekly televised shows and residing in the United Kingdom was something I had never envisioned.”
