During a recent guest appearance on the popular podcast “AEW Unrestricted,” Darby Allin expressed his belief that Brody King poses a serious real-life danger and he has the aim of helping the House of Black member to channel that energy more.
Their face-off is lined up for AEW WrestleDream 2024.
Allin expounded, “A guy like Brody King, when he’s bored, he’s dangerous. I really think — he’s just kind of that right now. House Of Black is kind of like that and Brody wants to really stir things up in AEW I feel. If he makes a move on his own, he kind of looks at this as the method of doing it. Brody to me is a guy that you witness outside in his actual life, many people are not aware of this, but outside in his real world, he’s part of a true hardcore band called God’s Hate. It’s a wild band where their live performances, audience members are getting hurt. Spectators are getting seriously injured and taken to the hospital, there’s all this wild stuff happening, so much real-life violence. If people imagine Brody King is going out there and performing an act as this huge dangerous guy, man they’re off the mark, he’s experienced this his entire life. I kind of aspire to draw that out of him in the sense of like, alright, embody that Brody King that I recognize you are in real life on AEW, be that individual because that’s a lot more compelling than your entire Spirit Halloween act.”
