In a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Tommy Dreamer, an ECW veteran, predicted that Bryan Danielson would be defeated by Jon Moxley in the AEW World Title match at AEW WrestleDream 2024, but that wouldn’t mark his retirement.

Here are some highlights from the podcast:

When asked about Danielson’s bout this week on AEW Dynamite, Dreamer stated, “[Last match] Ever on Dynamite? No. Do I think he’s going to retain at WrestleDream? I do not.”

Discussing Danielson’s career path post-WrestleDream, he shared, “I disagree with that. If he loses, he’s done and he’s done for a while, but I do not think he will be … listen, he needs neck surgery, legit. He’s gonna be gone probably for a year, but I don’t think he’s going to announce his retirement. I think Bryan Danielson will become a part-time in-ring performer after WrestleDream.”

In another edition of the “Talk is Jericho” podcast, Nigel McGuinness spoke about his desire to make a comeback to the wrestling arena, though he also admitted he would be okay if he never wrestled again.

After a thirteen-year break, McGuinness returned to the ring in the Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All In London 2024.

Expressing his feelings, McGuinness said, “There’s always a chance, certainly now that I’ve realized — I don’t want to say it’s not as difficult as I thought it was, because it is obviously very difficult, but I think I didn’t give myself enough credit for being able to do it. One day, you realize it was your voice all along and nobody else cared. I’m at that stage now where I feel blessed enough to get back in the ring and I love it. I enjoy rolling around with Lee Moriarty and Bryan Keith. Certainly I’m open to the possibility, but if I don’t wrestle again, that’s okay as well. I’ve had closure. We’ll see what happens.”
