New details have emerged concerning AEW wrestler Killswitch, who was found unconscious in his home last month and subsequently diagnosed with pneumonia.
In today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live, insider Bryan Alvarez revealed that Killswitch has not yet made his way back to the gym, nor is he anticipated to do so anytime soon.
Further information was provided about complications associated with his health circumstance. Alvarez stated,
“Apparently, there were complications. He contracts this flu and, on top of everything else, develops poor oxygen absorption, resulting in pneumonia. It seems that he’s now at increased risk of a recurrence… The major worry is that, following all this, there have been rounds of tests, and regrettably, permanent damage may have been identified. Calcification was found in a heart valve, and his body is failing to produce iron. Evidently, a series of tests still need to be undertaken. The situation is grave.”
Alvarez subsequently remarked, “I hesitate to label it a potential career-terminating issue, but it certainly could be.”
A mention was made regarding Killswitch’s absence on the recent episode of AEW Dynamite during a segment that included his colleague Christian Cage and wrestler HOOK.
We extend our warm wishes to Killswitch, praying for his expeditious and complete recovery. Killswitch, a former Champion in TNT, Trios and Tag Team categories, remains in our thoughts.
