WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long has pointed the finger at AEW for Miro’s unsatisfactory tenure with the promotion rather than blaming the Bulgarian wrestler. Miro had reportedly asked to be dismissed from AEW in September, four years post joining the company.

During a recent episode of the “Wrestling Time Machine” podcast, Teddy Long voiced his thoughts on Miro’s AEW journey. Long was of the opinion that Miro had never been the subject of negative sentiment and that AEW should shoulder the fault for his underwhelming run. He was quoted as saying,

“As far as my knowledge extends, I’ve never heard a single bad word about him. He has consistently been a part of amiable conversations but that doesn’t necessarily illuminate his complete situation. He could potentially be part of the problem too, assuming he’s difficult to handle, but that’s speculation on my part. As I mentioned, I direct most of my criticism towards AEW.”

Despite being fit for quite a while, Miro has not graced the AEW ring in 2024. He has only participated in seven matches since December 2021.

There were also whispers regarding the possibility of utilizing Miro in the All In: London Casino Gauntlet Match. Additionally, Miro had expressed interest in co-working with Jon Moxley earlier this year.

The current year also brought about a split between Miro and his wife CJ Perry, who was known as Lana in WWE. Perry bid adieu to AEW in July this year after joining the promotion in 2023.

In a recent discussion on the topic of Miro’s departure from AEW, Teddy Long shared his insights, which could be viewed in the attached video. [Video content not rewritten as it is presented in the form of embed source].
