Ex-WWE superstar Candice Michelle has expressed her desire for reconciliation in the wake of the scandal involving Vince McMahon. This controversy has been brought to light by Netflix’s multipart docuseries.
The series, named ‘Mr. McMahon’, consists of six segments highlighting the ascent and decline of the billionaire who is now is in his late 70s. Alongside his journey to success, many of his controversies have been discussed.
During K&S WrestleFest’s online autograph session, Candice Michelle, a previous Women’s Champion, gave her viewpoint on the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant. She said,
“I believe, firstly, I thoroughly enjoyed the documentary. There are a few things I particularly resonated with, one of them being, while I might not have been distinguished as the superior wrestler or have the flashiest moves, my ability to stomach the pressure and spotlight on my partner is what drove my journey. Just as Vince says in the series, there’s importance in accepting the pressure and succeeding despite that.”
She further commented on the lawsuit saying, “I believe it all comes down to the process of healing. Does this woman have the capacity to heal through financial compensation? And can Vince absolve himself by settling financially and mentally detaching from this lawsuit? That’s solely for them to decide and navigate. Hopefully, they can put these issues behind and move on with their lives.”
The lawsuit filed by Grant alleges McMahon of sexual abuse and claims that she was forced into sexual trafficking within the WWE. The erstwhile WWE CEO, however, has vehemently denied any such accusations.
Candice Michelle was seen in August this year, amongst the audience during RAW. She had a stint with WWE from 2004 to 2009 and held the WWE 24/7 Champion title.
