Backstage WWE SmackDown News – Dark Matches & Producers Revealed (10/4/24)

Fightful Select has reported the list of producers and some behind-the-scenes details from the most recent WWE SmackDown episode.

• Nick Aldis was the producer for an initial dark match featuring the duel between Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews versus Los Garzas.

• The comeback promo for AJ Styles, as well as the match between him and Carmelo Hayes, were both produced by Robert Roode.

• The segment involving Bayley, Nia Jax, and Tiffany Stratton was handled by Shane Helms.

• An unspecified producer coordinated the main event Ladder Match involving The Street Profits, #DIY, and The Bloodline.

• In WWE Speed, Nick Aldis produced two matches: Kairi Sane versus Candice LeRae and IYO SKY versus Candice LeRae.

• Aldis also produced a dark match where Liv Morgan faced off against Lyra Valkyria.

• A main event dark match with Cody Rhodes taking on Austin Theory also took place. The producer for that match remains unknown.

In addition, PWinsider has reported some extra dark match notes and results from the same SmackDown episode:

• Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews secured a victory against Los Garza in a tag team match that took place before the live broadcast.

• Sheamus bested Austin Theory after WWE SmackDown concluded.

• Liv Morgan emerged victorious against Lyra Valkyria in a post-broadcast dark match.

• Cody Rhodes defeated Austin Theory in another post-show dark match.

• Lastly, WWE is set to make a comeback to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN on February 10, 2025, for another Monday Night RAW event.
