CM Punk has revealed that he would choose Oba Femi as his first pick if ever he decided to form a new group within WWE.
In a fresh discussion with Justin Walker for KTSM, the superstar from WWE RAW was asked about his ideal lineup if he were to bring back his previous Straight Edge Society stable from his original run in WWE. Here’s what he said,
“I feel like it’s not necessary to flog a dead horse, hence we would require a sort of twist on the Straight Edge Society. Maybe a similar concept, maybe under a different banner. In my opinion, the top choice to align with me in any kind of group would be Oba [Femi].”
Discussing various topics, the legendary Hulk Hogan, who is a inductee of the WWE Hall of Fame, was a recent guest on the “Barstool Rasslin’” podcast. Topics ranged from Bobby Heenan’s wrestling career to getting dismissed by Vince McMahon Sr.
Key points from the podcast can be found below:
About Bobby Heenan’s wrestling career in the 1960s and ’70s: “In sheer ring performance, he surpassed Bret Hart, Macho Man, and Ricky Steamboat put together. He was arguably the best I’ve seen… He was astonishing.”
About his firing by Vince McMahon Sr. for appearing in Rocky III: “[McMahon] instructed me to drive to a show, to which I replied, ‘I mentioned to you Vince’ — of course referring to Vince senior, the older one — ‘That I was heading to L.A. to work on this film. He responded, ‘If you choose to film the Rocky movie, consider yourself dismissed.’ So, I replied, ‘Alright, sounds good,’ and went on to shoot the Rocky movie.”
