During a recent episode of the “SI Media podcast”, producer David Shoemaker opened up about his conversation with Linda McMahon for the documentary series titled “Mr. McMahon” on Netflix. He shared his experience on how Linda was fairly reserved, especially on emphazing Vince’s private affairs.
Shoemaker clearly indicated that despite asking transparent questions about Vince, Linda maintained a distant and professional demeanor. “She was fairly reserved during the interview,” said Shoemaker. “I was present during this interview, and I can’t seem to recall if there were interesting discussions that didn’t make the final cut. I certainly wished she had disclosed more about her and Vince. The whole conversation felt very formal.”
In a different instance, CM Punk had an interface with “No Contest Wrestling”. He reminisced about the events that paved the way for his comeback to WWE at the Survivor Series held in Chicago the previous year. The conversation ranged from sharing his encounters with Bayley, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, to William Regal.
Punk recalls the moment with vivid detail, “The atmosphere was ablaze with anticipation. The filming crew was documenting the hustle and bustle behind the scenes. Suddenly, I felt a vigorous hug from behind. When I turned around, it was Bayley who seemed ecstatic about my return. There were rumors about my cold war with Stephanie, but we did have a moment when we crossed paths. And I’ll never forget the look on Regal’s face when he saw me. It was a surreal reunion. I vividly remember trying to communicate with Triple H amidst the deafening noise. Our conversation mainly revolved around my entry in the cage. To be honest, the situation was quite chaotic but we managed to pull it off.” A video link captures the whole interaction in detail – [embedded content].
