Multiple significant injuries transpired during the ROH TV tapings preceding AEW Dynamite.

Initially, Sammy Guevara experienced a blackout while combating Serpentico at the ROH TV tapings. As reported by several spectators present at the scene, Serpentico descended from the top and was intercepted for a cutter. The observant crowd opined that the timing felt “a little off,” resulting in Serpentico crashing into Guevara’s face underneath him.

Guevara lost consciousness and the match promptly concluded. Post-match, AEW’s medical staff was seen administering medical attention to Sammy. It appeared they were conducting a concussion protocol. Ultimately, Guevara was evacuated on a stretcher.

In a separate incident, independent ring contender Kelly Madan also lost consciousness and potentially endured a neck injury during the recording in an encounter with Lady Frost.

Madan became subject to a twisting move off the ropes, with Frost’s legs impacting her head or neck. A quick pinfall ensued, with Madan remaining motionless afterward. An onlooker remarked she was “obviously out.” AEW’s medical personnel, Frost, and the referee gathered around Madan as the venue lights were dimmed. Following the damping of the ring ropes, Madan was escorted out on a spine board.

Both Guevara and Madan are in our thoughts and prayers.

Lady Frost just caused an injury to her combatant in a horrifying mis-piece, what you can term an inverted black arrow head-on to her opponent’s head, right here live at Ring of Honor before @AEW 5th Anniversary event #ROH #Ringofhonor #AEWDynamite #Dynamite5thanniversary pic.twitter.com/iwuezpR3kl

This marks severe injury number two of the evening just four matches in. Sammy Guevara executed a cutter from mid-air and landed in an unnerving manner. The match was halted instantaneously. It looks serious. A shaky start to tonight’s events. #AEWDynamite #AEW #ROH pic.twitter.com/BfzG5CRJhE
