After a hiatus following her defeat by Mercedes Mone at AEW All In London on August 25th, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. made her comeback at All Elite Wrestling during the fifth-anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite.
The episode was held at the Petersen Events Center, situated in Baker’s hometown— Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, also known as Brittsburgh. Despite the recent controversy and negative attention surrounding her, Baker was greeted by home crowd as a local hero.
Support for Baker from the audience, who were seen waving their traditional yellow Terrible Towels, was palpable. The only exception being ringside AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May. Baker emerged victorious against Serena Deeb, proving her mettle with her signature Lockjaw finisher that led to a submission win.
Post-match, Deeb attempted to accost Baker, but was thwarted by the timely intervention of Queen Aminata.
Queen Aminata stepped in to prevent Serena Deeb from inflicting further damage on Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.!
