Today, on The Pat McAfee Show (October 2, 2024), Cody Rhodes made a splash by discussing his ambitions for WWE WrestleMania 41 and the possibility of making it to the main event for the third consecutive year. He noted, “WrestleMania 41, I am looking to do what I’ve done three times now and enter the main event. But I think it will be something that perhaps is bigger than anyone anticipated.”
However, there’s an event closer on the WWE calendar – WWE Bad Blood taking place this Saturday night. There might be a couple of surprises yet to be unveiled, based on a suggestive conversation between Rhodes and McAfee post-show.
Rhodes, also known as The American Nightmare, bid everyone farewell when McAfee made a casual mention, “I heard the big guy is coming back this week?” To which Rhodes responded, “Is he?” and McAfee countered with, “You tell me.” Rhodes mysteriously replied, “Which one?” leaving McAfee with a cryptic remark, stating, “You told me enough!”
Following their exchange, rumors about the expected return of “the big guy” were ignited. While Roman Reigns has already been confirmed for WWE Bad Blood, the cryptic phrases hint at the possible return of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, especially considering his past involvement in The Bloodline storyline. The last time The Rock made an appearance on WWE television was on the day after WrestleMania XL and the Monday Night Raw episode on April 8, 2024, when he set the stage for an ongoing rivalry with Cody Rhodes.
