LA Knight, the current holder of the United States Championship title, is apparently being targeted for a clash with one of WWE’s leading characters. Sources reveal that there are prospects brewing for him to engage in a feud with Randy Orton, a prominent face in WWE.
During an interactive session with Sportskeeda, WWE inside source Joe Lowry from WrestleVotes disclosed that the organization has plans to instigate a feud between Knight and Orton. His exact words were, “I know there’s an interest in doing an LA Knight vs. Randy Orton program at some point.”
While both Orton and Knight have found themselves in the ring together during multi-participant matches and have once been allies, they haven’t had the opportunity to duel one-on-one in WWE before.
Recently, Knight has become embroiled in the ongoing storyline involving Carmelo Hayes and Andrade, who are currently at odds on SmackDown.
In the upcoming episode of WWE NXT airing next week on The CW Network, Orton will face off against Je’Von Evans. This marks the second show of the silver-branded series to be a part of The CW Network.
