During a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, WWE legend and Hall of Famer Bully Ray gave his thoughts on tonight’s championship clash between WWE NXT World Champion Ethan Page and challenger Trick Williams. He identified the match as a “must-win” situation for the ex-champion.
Bully Ray was quoted saying, “I believe that tomorrow night is a must-win for Trick Williams. I think he must defeat Ethan Page. I think if Trick does not defeat Ethan, its a small step backwards for him. There’s something lurking within him, something he himself might not be aware of. With my 30-plus years of experience, I can sense it, it’s apparent to me. But the question is, who in NXT can extract this potential from him? I don’t believe any of his contemporaries can.”
Wrestling superstar, CM Punk, scheduled to oversee the NXT World Title match between Page and Williams, hinted at a surprise for fans who visit the Allstate Arena. He mentioned that they should come “hungry.”
Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, Punk wrote, “Hey, if you’re a fan of wrestling, you might want to head to the All State Arena tomorrow night for the WWE NXT’s initiation on The CW Network. Or perhaps if you’re simply hungry, who knows? Just suggesting…”
