The pro-wrestling world is abuzz with speculation around Daniel Garcia, with both WWE and AEW vying for his services. While AEW is keen to retain Garcia within its ranks, WWE is reportedly making overtures to bring him into their federation.

Following a period in which he was not featured on television, Garcia marked his comeback on AEW during the face-off between MJF and Will Ospreay. The match, staged for the International Title at AEW All In London 2024, saw Garcia interrupting, thereby leading to MJF’s defeat. MJF was later ‘put over’ by Garcia at the All Out 2024 event, after which he launched an attack on MJF.

As of now, Garcia’s existing contract with AEW is set to lapse in October, and there are no signs of him renewing it as of yet.

Previously, as highlighted in our eWn report, the emblematic former ROH Pure Champion has stopped making appearances on AEW owing to the absence of a new contract. This has markedly eroded AEW’s optimism about securing his services for the future.

However, WrestlePurist’s Ibou is throwing a positive spin on the scenario. He asserts that AEW remains hopeful about Garcia recommitting to them. Ibou also reports that AEW is brainstorming creative strategies to rope him back in, should he consent to a new contract and a television return.
