Pete Rose, a baseball legend and manager, has unfortunately passed on. Known as the first celebrity to enter the WWE Hall of Fame, Rose passed away at his residence in Las Vegas at the age of 83.
Throughout his spectacular career, Rose made a staggering 4,256 hits, appeared in 17 All-Star Games, and achieved three World Series Championships. His major league endeavours were mostly carried out with the Cincinnati Reds, where he played from 1963 to 1978 and again from 1984 to 1986. He also had stints with the Philadelphia Phillies and the Montreal Expos.
Rose’s career took a notorious dive when he received a lifetime ban from the MLB due to allegations of betting on baseball games while he was playing and managing the Reds. Rose refuted these claims for a long time, only to accept and confess this truth in 2004.
The baseball giant took to the WWE WrestleMania arena during the 14th, 15th, and 16th editions, where he frequently collided with Kane.
Previously, Rose faced legal issues when, on July 19, 1991, he was incarcerated for tax evasion for five months stint at a minimum security facility at the United States Penitentiary in Marion, Illinois. Rose also had to pay a fine of ,000 and was released on January 7, 1992, after clearing his outstanding tax dues amounting to 6,041 along with interest.
