Professional wrestler CM Punk doesn’t anticipate major shakeups when RAW transitions to Netflix in the beginning of 2025.
In a recent interaction with 103.5 KISS FM, Punk was quizzed about whether the move would herald an uptick in adult-themed content. His response was,
“Regarding the product? I don’t foresee much variation from its current state. We’re occasionally pushing the boundaries somewhat. However, I’d like to moderate people’s expectations. There seems to be a fraction of the audience who are under the illusion that since we’re transitioning to Netflix, there’s going to be rampant nudity and profanity. This is certainly not the reality. I think we’ve gathered knowledge from the Attitude Era which demonstrated that such a path can only be followed for a limited time before there are attempts to upstage past weeks’ performance, only resulting in subpar television. Pushing the envelope now and then is acceptable.”
Punk substantiated his statements saying, “I believe what you’ll notice as the new version of the product shapes up is that we’ll probably still have advertisements on Netflix, though I’m not entirely sure about this. But there could be a chance that it won’t interrupt matches. We might see some tweaking in the format of the show, although I cannot confirm any of it at this moment. As for the content, despite Rhea Ripley possibly wishing to turn up her Australian accent and sporadically toss in a profanity, I don’t foresee that happening.”
