AEW International Champion Will Ospreay recently discussed his favourite moment in AEW Dynamite history. In a video celebrating the show’s fifth anniversary, Ospreay cited Jon Moxley’s promo which was aired on September 7th, 2022, following the notorious All Out 2022 backstage brawl.

Ospreay stated, “My favorite Dynamite moment is where Jon Moxley stepped into the ring and spoke from the heart to the audience about ‘time to be a legend. And I sat in a room in Japan looking at the words that he said, and how he rallied the troops and rallied all the fans into continuously believing in AEW. From that moment, I knew I wanted to be part of this place, so that is my favorite Dynamite moment.”

The announcement was shared on All Elite Wrestling’s official Twitter account with a caption that read, “The Aerial Assassin” @WillOspreay shares the #AEWDynamite that made him want to join #AEW ahead of the 5th Anniversary! Meanwhile, on a recent episode of his “What Happened When” podcast, Tony Schiavone, spoke highly of the commentary duo, Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura, considering them among the best in wrestling history. He commended McMahon’s commentary noting his ability to effectively narrate and promote the events, owing to his deep understanding of the company.

When discussing great commentary teams in wrestling history, Schiavone stated, “I go back, when you think about great commentary teams, I think Vince McMahon and Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura were one of the best commentary teams ever. Just like Gorilla and Bobby Heenan or Jerry Lawler and JR… Vince, realistically, it was his company, so he knew what to say. He knew how to promote things, so I thought he was great in this area.” Ventura and McMahon used to provide commentary for WWE shows in the late 80s, including Superstars Of Wrestling and Saturday Night’s Main Event.
