WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently shared his thoughts on Giovanni Vinci’s run of defeats on WWE SmackDown on his “Hall of Fame” podcast. Here, we provide you with the key points from the podcast:

Reflecting on his own journey in wrestling, specifically when WCW closed down while he was reigning as dual champion, he said, “It’s surreal. Sometimes it feels like it’s still a dream, that it was some other life. The fact that I rose to the very top of WCW, closing the company as the United States Champion and the World Heavyweight Champion is simply incredible. That moment is frozen in time for me.”

Addressing Giovanni Vinci’s series of quick defeats, he commented, “I’ve been observing Giovanni, I think he has potential and talent. His collaboration with the Imperium may have initially caused him to be overlooked. Being GUNTHER’s second string doesn’t do justice to his skills.”

On rebranding Giovanni and reintroducing him to the audience, he added, “There’s an understanding there, as he’s someone you want to highlight. Regrettably, being part of Imperium during his initial days might not have been the best move. Just like Ludwig, he’s battling to establish his unique identity rather than being known only as GUNTHER’s understudy. He’s actually a great talent with an engaging persona, he just needs to explore and present himself more.”
