WWE’s decision to turn SummerSlam into a two-night event is proof of the brand’s current popularity, says TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth.

This week brought the news that WWE’s SummerSlam 2025 is set to be a dual-event spectacle happening in East Rutherford, New Jersey, come August next year.

On a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Nemeth shared his thoughts on WWE’s move to make another of their pay-per-view events cover two nights. He put it this way,

“Because if either one of those nights [audiences think], ‘Oh, it was two-thirds pretty good! I guess it still could’ve been a night.’ No, no, no! They’re adding importance to this event, enlarging it, saying, ‘Hey, pay attention, not only is business booming, but when you’re on top, grab the opportunity and make the most of it.’

“This is a double showcase of two of the grandest shows in WWE’s schedule, and it better be two nights of almost completely sold ticket and they better showcase amazing main events to leave audiences thinking that the entire event should have been a three-night affair! It’s astounding how they are managing to cram all of it into two nights!”

In an announcement made earlier, WWE shared that SummerSlam 2026 would also be a two-night event and is destined to take place at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Meanwhile, Nemeth is set to defend his TNA World Championship title against Joe Hendry at the TNA Bound for Glory event on October 26, at the Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit, Michigan.
