SCU’s Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky are scheduled to reconnect for the first time since 2020 at the forthcoming Prestige Roseland 9 event on Sunday night. They are stepping in at the eleventh hour to replace FTR who are compelled to miss the event due to Hurricane Helene. SCU’s opponents for the match will be Midnight Heat (Eddie Pearl and Ricky Gibson).

Prestige Wrestling tweeted to confirm the changes. Due to the hindrances caused by Hurricane Helene, FTR is unable to reach the airport, hence their absence from the event.

In additional news from the wrestling world, the latest episode of CMLL Viernes Espectacular revealed that AEW wrestler Toni Storm is expected to debut in CMLL on the October 11th installment of the show. Lucha Libre CMLL’s tweet confirmed the news, indicating that Storm will face off against La Catalina, the Universal Champion of 2023.

Dismal news, however, comes from the independent promotion Blk Girlz Wrestle’s event ‘The Blk Out’ scheduled for Saturday. Fans who turned up at the venue were disappointed to find no event or signage. A participant who had been scheduled for the event, Maya World, took to Twitter to express her grievances about being in the dark regarding the cancellation and being blocked by the promoter on Instagram.

In a series of tweets, Maya apologized for keeping quiet over suspicions regarding the event’s credibility. She detailed how she was blocked on Instagram by the promoter and left without updates. She felt she had also been cheated as she had to forfeit a title at a different event due to this booking. Eventually, she and others partaking in the event discovered they had all been blocked on Instagram by the promoter.

She also expressed her distress concerning the financial losses endured by herself and the fans. Acknowledging the inconvenience, she recommended all to try and retrieve their invested money. Maya thanked TPWTexas for their understanding in her tweets.
