AJ Francis, a well-known professional wrestler, is open to the idea of making a comeback to WWE, as a continuation of their existing collaboration with TNA Wrestling. However, there’s one special condition attached to this.
The year in focus, 2024, has been characterized by an interesting exchange of talent between WWE NXT and TNA. Notably, talent from both organizations has made appearances on TV and also during pay-per-view events.
Francis recently featured on the “Straight Talk Wrestling” podcast, during which he was asked whether he’d consider being a part of this cross-promotion project. Francis responded saying,
“Without a doubt, but my condition is to have Swanny along, I can’t proceed without Rich Swann. Honestly, the way he left wasn’t fair either. On top of that, we’re the hottest tag team in wrestling, disregard what others have to say. Consequently, I wouldn’t opt for this without him, I’ve always been protective of my group, similar to when I re-signed with WWE, I told Hunter [Triple H], that I would not return without Tehuti [Ashante Adonis] and Briana [B-Fab]. That’s the person I am.”
Rich Swann’s departure from WWE happened back in 2018, and currently, he is on suspension from TNA due to an arrest for disorderly intoxication.
Known as Top Dolla in the WWE, Francis was part of Hit Row. He faced release from the organization in 2021, and even though he was brought back on board, he was axed once again in 2023.
In the following week, WWE NXT would premiere on The CW, where TNA X-Division Champion Zachary Wentz is scheduled to battle NXT’s Wes Lee in a thrilling street fight event.
