In the docu-series produced by Netflix, “Mr. McMahon”, respected WWE Hall of Famer, Paul Heyman, recounted an intense memory of Vince McMahon lecturing his son, Shane McMahon, during a friction-filled discussion concerning creative aspects.

Heyman regales the story as such, “The most impactful exchange I’ve ever seen between Vince and Shane occurred during a creative dispute one evening. Shane proposed an idea he strongly avouched for, but Vince wholeheartedly disapproved. As is typical with most disputes involving Vince, once they begin to intensify, they ramp up very quickly. Eventually, Vince addressed Shane with a firm ‘Not while I’m alive.’, and then he, while consuming a meal, gave his knife to Shane. Vince continued, ‘Right here [points to heart]. Come on. Right here. If you need this so desperately, plunge the dagger right here. If you lack the courage to do so, thereby demonstrating you don’t have the mettle for such action, I have to factor that into future evaluations. Alternatively, you have the option of buying me out, as I did with my father. If I prevent you from having your way, you must be prepared to dismiss me as I would have had to do with my father when he refused to comply with my ideas.'”

The “Mr. McMahon” document series, which includes six one-hour episodes, delves into a series of sexual misconduct allegations brought against McMahon by several women in different periods of his career.
