On a recent episode of his podcast “My World”, WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett spoke highly of the creative approach AEW has taken with the “Timeless” persona of Toni Storm.
In case you missed it, here are some of the critical points from Jarrett’s podcast:
As for Toni Storm, Jarrett mentioned – “The narrative of the Timeless Toni Storm was built gradually, but steadily. A trace of character development was seen in every episode, and similarly, her promo development also showed growth. Without a doubt, Toni’s prowess in the rings has always been outstanding. But her character unexpectedly took an interesting turn. The culmination was in Calgary, when Mariah [May] engaged with Toni, ending in a bloody fracas. Toni’s triumphant return in her home turf, Wembley, was a sight to behold. And now she has reached a remarkable milestone in her career.”
Speaking on HOOK holding the FTW Champion title, Jarrett said, “HOOK, man – his appeal is truly unique. He has the charisma that sticks with you and a ton of energy both inside and outside the ring. His pride in holding the belt is undeniable. It’s safe to say that he carries the title, traditionally but with sober pride.”
