Ethan Page recently had a conversation with Chris Van Vliet, where he discussed numerous subjects including his exit from AEW. Page expressed that leaving AEW was the right move for him, as he felt he was not given ample opportunities to demonstrate his skills. His current role in NXT is a product of years of preparation, Page added.

PJ Black revealed that he was taken into consideration by WWE to assume a coaching role at the WWE Performance Center. However, these discussions fizzled out when the company was acquired by Endeavour.

Black also participated on the “Developmentally Speaking” podcast, where he reflected on the possibility of returning to WWE, future coaching ambitions and more. Some key points he touched upon during the podcast include:

His potential return to WWE: Black explained that multiple discussions regarding his return have taken place over the years, but none have bore fruit. He revealed that there were plans for him to become a coach, given his almost three decades-long experience in wrestling, but these discussions halted during the transition phase of WWE’s buyout by Endeavour. He has since been working on other bookings.

His work abroad: Black spent some time living in Europe and has been making efforts to rejuvenate the wrestling scene in South Africa where he holds teaching seminars. The wrestler expressed his enthusiasm to pass on his three-decades-long worth of knowledge to budding talent. He shared that NWA shows were part of his rather hectic travel schedule.

His future as a coach: Despite the changes and his busy schedule, Black still shows interest in a coaching role. He loves wrestling and grew up in the business, and apparently, he’s quite skilled at coaching as well.
