Tony Schiavone, a well-recognized name in the AEW, recently voiced his hope for the promotion to host a wrestling event at Madison Square Garden. While he admits this is unlikely, Schiavone can’t deny his desire to see it happen in the future.
A much-familiar fact for the AEW fans is that their preferred venue in New York City is Arthur Ashe Stadium. The stadium is all decked up and ready for the Grand Slam events taking place later this week.
Schiavone expressed his thoughts about the feasibility of an AEW-MSG show on his podcast, “What Happened When.” As he put it,
“I don’t know if it’d be a dream come true for me. I think it would be great, but I think it’s impossible to get it done. Because of the stranglehold [WWE] has had on MSG.”
