In a recent interaction with WAAY 31 News, the ex-WWE Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley gave solid reasons for the enjoyable nature of WWE live shows. She emphasized that these live events provide a greater opportunity for her to engage actively with the live spectators.

Ripley expressed, “A lot. I feel that though pay-per-views (PLEs) and TV events form the bulk of what we do, it’s the live events where the real fun begins. Here, we interact more directly with the audience, not just the people watching at home. We get to do these engaging and hilarious things live. Sure, travelling can be exhausting, but it becomes memorable with best friends and fan interactions, tune into cheer or jeers, high-fives, or even my notorious pranks like untying shoelaces or stealing water. These create unforgettable memories for them, and that was what I craved as a child wrestling fanatic. The bonds we build with fans are incredibly special and to do these are insanely rewarding.”

In the latest segment of the “Battleground” podcast, Tommaso Ciampa shared his hopes for a more prominent platform for WWE tag team division like featuring more in pay-per-view events. Ciampa noted the current format of five or six matches in these events, which sometimes doesn’t provide enough screen time for the tag team contests.

Ciampa stated, “As an insider, you always yearn for more and wish things to progress faster. The recent paradigm shift towards our tag teams is a refreshing change. Often, we get to showcase our skills on SmackDown on the night prior to the events, it’s great as the energy is similar, but being on PLEs is what we aim for. You want to compete in front of the most enthusiastic crowd you can capture, for instance, the French, SummerSlam, or German crowd. It is thrilling to see that our tag team division is gaining some well-deserved prominence, yet we do aspire for more, and that’s just how it is.”
