During a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” show, wrestling personality Tommy Dreamer spoke out about Ricochet’s decision to switch his allegiances from WWE to AEW.
Highlights from the podcast are featured below:
Discussing Ricochet’s transition to AEW, Dreamer stated, “I am of the belief that it was highly beneficial for him to depart from WWE. This is primarily because, despite his talents, he had spent substantial time there without making significant progress beyond the mid-card. This lack of progress was not attributed to a lack of talent but more to the way he was booked. The old adage often holds true – ‘sometimes you need to exit in order to get noticed and succeed,’ with the aim of eventually returning like Cody Rhodes.”
Speaking about his potential success in AEW, Dreamer remarked, “I’ve always seen him as the successor to Rey Mysterio. I don’t think he was given that chance in WWE. Therefore, if he can demonstrate his abilities and potential as a draw in AEW, then I believe it’s a beneficial move for Ricochet. It seemed to me that he had reached a limit with WWE,” he added.
