AAA Mega Champion, Alberto El Patron, has voiced concerns about Vince McMahon’s reputation being impacted due to a lawsuit initiated by Janel Grant.
McMahon, along with John Laurinaitis and WWE, are facing allegations from Grant, who accuses McMahon of sexual abuse and indirectly being involved in her trafficking which was related to the company.
El Patron voiced his opinion during a recent episode of ‘Wrestle Binge.’ He criticized those who are attacking McMahon’s character and legacy and noted,
“There are still some individuals who refuse to accept the truth. Instead, they opt to continue condemning a man who does nothing more than work hard, provide for his family, and make significant contributions to the wrestling industry. The same scenario is playing out with Mr. McMahon. Our judicial system will undoubtedly reveal the truth soon. At that point, it will be up to the people to either accept the truth or continue persecuting McMahon.”
He added,
“No matter what the outcome, I must point this out: it’s unfair the way he is currently being vilified. People seem to forget that without him, the wrestling business wouldn’t be what it is today. His personal issues need to be differentiated from his creation in our industry. That’s what I deem unfair. Hence, I make this plea to everyone: be prepared, for the judicial system will uncover the truth.”
His comments mirror a similar sentiment expressed by Mick Foley who recently acknowledged the good McMahon has done for him, sparking criticism against the WWE Hall of Famer.
Alberto, having last competed for WWE in 2016, has disclosed his plans of making a comeback and having one last match with the promotion.
Ann Callis, Grant’s legal counsel, shared that she and Grant have been receiving calls from other individuals claiming to be victims of McMahon.
