During the recent Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and PAC declared an open challenge for the coveted AEW World Trios Championships for the succeeding Grand Slam: Dynamite event. In response to this challenge and driven by their quest for retaliation for an attack they suffered last week, the Private Party retaliated, vowed to find a third teammate, and bravely called their opponents out.
However, their decision turned out to be regrettable, which was further magnified when they targeted the Blackpool Combat Club as a way of getting back at them for the assault last Wednesday. Contrary to their intention of making a strong impact, Private Party was easily subdued. Moxley then delivered a fast and decisive speech about his potential to end their careers. Yet, he opted to share some advice based on their unchanged status over the past five years. Moxley expressed, “Consider this a gift,” before nondiscriminately smashing Isiah Kassidy’s hand with a hammer.
Is that a hammer?!

At this juncture, it remains unclear whether this plot was framed to temporarily exclude Kassidy from the series, or if there is any other backstory to it. Keep following eWrestlingNews.com for any forthcoming revelations regarding this circumstance.
