During an NXT Tag Team Championship match recap, wherein The Bloodline interfered leading to a no-contest ruling against The Street Profits, who substituted for The Rascalz in a match against Axiom and Nathan Frazer, Wes Lee interrupted to lay claim as the reason The Rascalz weren’t part of the title match from the outset.
Vic Joseph, the host, had been in the midst of the recap when the interruption took place. Previously, Ava had made an announcement suggesting that the legitimate No.1 contenders wouldn’t be contending for the titles due to “somewhat conspicuous circumstances.” Realistically, this announcement was a cover-up for Trey Miguel’s impending surgery scheduled for Sunday.
In correlation to the narrative, however, Lee took responsibility for this setback. Upon doing so, he issued a challenge to his ex-MSK team member, Zachary Wentz. Wes wants to put an end to their beef in a Street Fight slated for the CW premiere of NXT, come the 1st of October.
In a Tweet, he brazenly declared, “I end this in a Street Fight.” He tagged Zachary Wentz and stated his desire for a STREET FIGHT in Chicago.
As of the time of releasing this update, the scheduled match hasn’t been officially affirmed, but it’s safe to project that it will be in due course.
