On Sunday’s pre-show of the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) All In 2024 Zero Hour event, it was announced that popular wrestler Swerve Strickland has inked a new contract with the AEW alliance.
Reliable sources at Fightful Select confirmed that the agreement is a prolonged, multi-year contract set to keep Strickland in the AEW ring until 2028 at least. However, the explicit duration of the agreement still remains confidential. It’s worth noting that Strickland’s deal is thought to be one of the most significant contracts in the history of AEW.
Strickland initially joined the AEW brigade in March 2022 under a three-year contract that was scheduled to extend to the following year. It was reported that Strickland notably “outperformed” his existing contract, and discussions about a new agreement commenced during his reign as AEW World Champion.
It was also highlighted that numerous AEW top executives are extremely satisfied with Strickland’s performance both inside and outside the ring, visually expressing “incredible happiness” with his contributions.
