During the recent AEW All In: London 2024 press conference, Tony Khan, the President of AEW, shared his views on the possibility of conducting more events in overseas locations in forthcoming years.

Here are a few key points from the press call:

When asked about the potential of the UK hosting a television show or pay-per-view event for AEW in 2025, Khan responded: “It is indeed a possibility. We’re definitely contemplating it. I have a deep fondness for the UK. I’ve lived in England, particularly London, for a considerable portion of my life. Being able to be back here and travel within the UK is an exhilarating feeling.”

As for an event in Australia the next year, he explained: “We can confirm that we’re exploring different Australian venues to host an event potentially next year in 2025. We’re expecting to share more news about this in the coming days. The year 2025 promises to be an iconic one.”

Besides this, Khan also had conversation with the renowned Sports Illustrated journal about Ricky Starks’ status in AEW.

Khan reassured that Starks, who has been absent from television since March, is currently tied to the promotion. He stated,

“Ricky has been a very significant figure in AEW. He’s carried the championship and has delivered compelling matches here. I have immense respect for Ricky. He has been a part of AEW for a number of years and is currently under contract. Ricky is held in high regard within AEW.”

A tweet from Jason Solomon surfaced recently hinting that the contract of Ricky might have ended in July and he could be a free agent.
