The wrestling duo, Grizzled Young Veterans, which includes James Drake and Zack Gibson, continues to fulfill independent wrestling dates despite their debut in AEW a few months prior.
In 2018, the twosome joined the WWE and managed to achieve the distinction of becoming the premier NXT UK Tag Team Champions. In 2023, they decided to part ways with the platform on their own accord. After exiting WWE, Drake and Gibson briefly performed on the TNA Wrestling platform before indicating their intention to inaugurate their own wrestling promotion.
After their successful match against FTR in AEW Collision in April, speculation ensued about whether they might be signed on by Tony Khan in his Grizzled Young Veterans.
According to a report from Fightful Select, the Grizzled Young Veterans duo has not yet confirmed any allegiance with AEW. Current contract discussions suggest a wide disparity between both factions about financial conditions.
