Recently, during a conversation with “WrestleTalk”, AEW American Champion MJF, offered his unique perspective on the duo of The Young Bucks, explaining why he believes the brothers Matt and Nick Jackson deserve an increased amount of respect from the wrestling fandom.
Discussing his perspective on The Young Bucks, MJF declared, “I’m now going to do something I seldom do, and that’s giving props to them. They are trailblazers. Without them, this company wouldn’t have seen the light of day. Many individuals have walked through the doors of All Elite Wrestling, a company that’s been operating for over half a decade now. Even before it was officially formed and named, I was there. I participated in All In. I’m one of the handful original members left who can realistically claim to be a day one guy. My participation in the first match of AEW history, the Casino Battle Royale, is a testament to that. I emerged as the victor against Hangman Page and delivered a memorable promo against Bret Hart. None of that would have been possible without the contribution of Matt and Nick Jackson. I find it disheartening that newcomers to the company aren’t showing them the respect they’ve garnished and rightly deserved.”
On the topic of fans showing more acknowledgement towards The Bucks, MJF explained, “I firmly believe that the respect they’ve gathered should be reflected in fans’ behaviour towards them. If I had the opportunity to collaborate with them in a manner that I believe would be mutually beneficial from a professional perspective, would I take it? My trust issues might hold me back. Particularly after what happened with Adam Cole. He’s not a pleasant character, we all can agree to that, isn’t it? As far as a long-standing professional commitment is concerned, I’m unsure. However, I would be open to, even fascinated by, a short-term partnership that I believe would be advantageous to both sides.”
